My First Road Ride!!!

My heart was racing I was close to dying right there on the spot cuz of excitement I WAS GOING ON MY FIRST ROAD RIDE!!! I was wondering how is Eden, Dev and Nga going to feel when they do this I was a bit gloomy because we gotten separated into different groups for the road ride those three were lucky they ended up in the same group they were in group 2 going after morning tea  was in group 1 going after the roll at least Kayd was with me.

We sprinted to the turf where our bikes were kept Kayd kept asking me where my bike was and then I put my head in the clouds again I took my bike and wheeled it down to the quad in front of the middles and seniors classes we saw parents very few of them there with their bikes there was a really long line of bikes I popped into one of the spaces there next to Eva, Kayd followed and stood next to me with his bike then Phil the person who was teaching us about bike safety came and talked to us with the other person who was teaching us the police Constable McFlinn,

They were talking about what we needed to remember when we were on the road like when you are about to turn left take out your left hand indicator when you want to go around a roundabout the one going to the right goes first, when you are about to ride on your bike sit on your bike the look back over your right shoulder and shout “CLEAR!!!” Before you go, when you pass a car look into the back windscreen look into the Drivers window if they are no there look behind you and shout “CLEAR!!!” Again, Ride one meter away from the footpath and reminding us about the safety rules.

After what seemed like one hour we took off the front of the line walking their bikes out of the school gates first I felt my heart beating like a drum as we became the third group to go on the road we headed into the bike lane and checked behind us for any cars I shouted “CLEAR!!!” Just as a car passed the lady in front of us leading the group said “We aren't supposed to say clear yet.” My face turned bright red even though I couldn't see it I could feel it. “I MESSED UP ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!! So embarrassing!” We looked behind us then we were able to go we shouted “CLEAR!!!!” Then we took off I nearly screamed!!!

I turned onto Marne Street and poked out my left hand indicator and then turned left then we stopped by the Chinese dairy the my mum loves to go to, Phil told us what to do then we were off again after that we rode over to the entrance of Ake Ake Ave where I BEEEEEEEEPPP I was so happy we passed my BEEEEEEPPP and then we rode on and went down to the no exit block I didn't even know that was there before! Even though I BEEEEEEPPPPP BEEEEPPPP we rode down the place then went around in a circle looking into the back windscreens and shouting “CLEAR!!!!” I didn't really pay attention to the next car parked beside me cuz I was daydreaming as soon as I woke from doing so I realized that I passed a car I shouted “CLEAR!!!” But I was too late “Oh gosh I forgotten” I heard other people shout behind me we rode until the College Street roundabout and then we stopped and parked our bikes onto the sidewalk and watched the cars in the roundabout. We watched the cars doing their indications and we clapped when they did their indications properly when they didn't we stared at them peoplez.

Soon we had to go back all of the groups rode back in the bike lane safely back to school none of us have been squashed or run over I was sad because I loved the road ride so exciting and terrifying a the same time like the super bowl in the LIDO, even though I loved the road ride and I know the road rules my mum and dad will NEVER let me ride on the road to school even if they swore I was allowed too I will never be allowed.
